Maria Tornari (Executive Accounts Handler)
Mrs. Maria Tornari, was born in Athens in 1981. She holds a Batchelors degree in Shipping, Trade and Transport form the University of the Aegean, Department of Chios Island and a Master’s degree in Marine Policy from Cardiff University in Wales. Maria is currently studying for the CII certificate. She is also a certified Insurance Broker under the auspicies of the Bank of Greece.
Maria began her career in 2006 as a Marine Assistant Claims handler in respect to Hull and Machinery, P&I, War, LOH claims as well Yacht and crew Claims. Since 2011 she was an assistant Marine Underwriter who specialized in blue and brown water Marine Insurance (Hull and Machinery, P&I, War) and at the same time she facilitated insurance covers for Marina and Ship - repairers’ liabilities as well as Crew. Since 2016 Maria has been acting as a Marine Insurance Broker specializing in yacht Insurance, Hull and Machinery, P&I for special purpose vessels, passenger vessels, barges as well as Marine Trades.
In N.S.A. PC Maria’s responsibilities as an Insurance broker and client executive, include dealing with Yacht Insurances, Hull & Machinery, P&I (Renewals, new quotations and claims handling); namely this includes the assessment of client’s needs, undertaking market exercises, negotiating with Underwriters in respect of scope of cover, terms offered, and rates and finally claims handling. Moreover, Maria is responsible for documentation, review of the insurance terms and conditions, and thereafter their presentation to Insurers as well as to the Assureds. Maria will also be assisting with the Corporate lines of insurance – namely: Cyber / Bankers; Blanket Bond policies/ Crime/ Directors & Officers Insurances.
Finally, Maria will also be involved in the Consultation side of the company - in the preparation and production of Marine reports for Mortgagee Banks engaged in Ship Finance.
Η κα. Μαρία Τορνάρη, γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1981. Κατέχει πτυχίο «Ναυτιλίας και Επιχειρηματικών Υπηρεσιών» από το Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου, το τμήμα της Χίου και μεταπτυχιακό στο Marine Policy από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Cardiff της Ουαλίας. Επι του παρόντος είναι σε διαδικασία ανάκτησης σχετικού διπλώματος από το Chartered Insurance Institute. Είναι επίσης πιστοποιημένη διαμεσολαβητής και Μεσίτης Ασφαλίσεων από την Τράπεζα της Ελλάδος.
Η Μαρία ξεκίνησε να εργάζεται το 2006 ως Marine Assistant Claims handler αναφορικά με ζημιές Hull and Machinery, P&I, War, LOH καθώς και ζημιές σκαφών. Από το 2011 ασχολήθηκε με το Underwriting με εξειδίκευση σε Hull and Machinery, P&I, War και την ίδια στιγμή επίσης με την ανάληψη κινδύνου για Μαρίνες και αστική Ευθύνη πληρωμάτων και Επισκευαστών / Ναυπηγείων. Επίσης, ασχολήθηκε με ζημίες Πληρωμάτων. Από το 2016 δρά ως Marine Insurance Broker με εξειδίκευση στα σκάφη καθώς και στο Hull and Machinery, P&I για επιβάτηγα πλοία, για εξειδικευμένα πλοία καθώς επίσης και με Αστική Ευθύνη επισκευαστών.
Σην εταιρία «Ν. Σ. Α. I.K.E.» με την ιδιότητα του Insurance Broker ασχολείται με την εξυπηρέτηση πελατών, την διαπραγμάτευση με Ασφαλιστές και συνεργάτες των προσφορών Ασφάλισης (και ανανέωσης) για Σκάφη και Πλοία, τον έλεγχο των σχετικών όρων ασφάλισης, των παρουσιάσεων προς τις ασφαλιστικές εταιρείες και των πελατών καθώς και της διαχείρισης ζημιών και απαιτήσεων. Στον Τραπεζικό κλάδο βοηθάει στα συμβολαία Cyber Risks, ευθύνης Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου και Bankers Blanket Bond, στη σύνταξη εκθέσεων για τον έλεγχο ναυτασφαλίσεων (H&M/ IV, War & P&I) εκχωρημένων συμβολαίων δανειοληπτών της ενυπόθηκου δανείστριας καθώς και στις ανανεώσεις ΜΙΙ και MAPI των Τραπεζών.
